Visit the Wendy and Emery Reves Collection on the Museum’s third floor, which is acclaimed for its many important Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works of art. Twenty-five years ago, the Dallas Museum of Art received a one-of-a-kind gift of more than 1,400 works authorized by Wendy Reves in honor of her late husband, Emery Reves. In addition to Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and modern paintings, it included sculptures, works on paper, and decorative arts objects, all of which are displayed in a recreation of the Reves’s Riviera home, Villa La Pausa. This spectacular bequest transformed the DMA’s collection of late 19th century French art and her donation of European decorative arts founded the institution’s collection in that area.

A special audio tour highlights selected masterpieces from the Reves Collection, including works by Edouard Manet, Paul Cezanne, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Pierre Bonnard, and Maurice de Vlamnick. New materials on the Reves Collection that can be accessed on Wi-Fi enabled smartphones and media players will also be available for the first time.

Brighten your holiday spirits by strolling the glimmering streets of Waxahachie, one of the most charming, historic cities in Texas!

Twelve unique homes, spanning from the Victorian era to the 21st Century, will don their holiday finery for three weekends. Each dazzling weekend will showcase four bedecked properties.

Christmas in the Square is a one-of-a-kind holiday extravaganza that gets bigger and better every year! This signature event features one of the largest choreographed holiday light shows in Texas, Santa Claus, holiday-themed outdoor movies, carriage rides, model trains on display, real snow, and other family-friendly activities each weekend.

Stroll through a wonderland of holiday delights, including elaborate lighted displays. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, drink hot Dr. Pepper, and enjoy the music of the season, all in a beautiful park setting. Children can roast marshmallows, write a letter to Santa and make various holiday crafts. Free admission! Park is open from 6:00 pm. to 9:00 p.m. each evening.

The festivities start at 5:45 p.m. on the Courthouse Square. Event include: Lighting of Christmas Tree on Historic Courthouse Lawn, Visits with Santa, a children’s arts and crafts area, and live music featuring Brave Combo.

Bethlehem Revisited is a historical reenactment of Bethlehem at the time of Christ birth. The city depicts what life was like the time of Christ birth. It is like visiting a city and being able to interact with the Artisans. Each will be glad to explain their craft or you can just observe them.
