The following hotels recently completed major renovations.

• The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek completed a $20 million renovation that included guest rooms, hotel restaurant with a rejuvenated menu for the main dining and bar area.
• Historic Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa received $36 million in renovations to the hotel restaurant, Bolla, guest rooms and spa.
• The largest hotel in Texas changed brands to become Sheraton Dallas and made improvements to the tune of $90 million.
• Renaissance Dallas is working on a three-phrase improvement that includes guest rooms, meeting space, restaurants and an additional 20,000 square feet of meeting space.

A popular destination for meetings and conventions, more than 3,700 of Dallas’ hotel rooms are connected to the Dallas Convention Center via the Dallas Area Rapid Transit rail lines.

The city is celebrating a hard-won victory; a 1,016-room Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel will be built in downtown, opening in early 2012. The hotel will service convention and meeting attendees as well as consumer travelers with more than 80,000 square feet of meeting space, nearby mixed-use retail offerings and ease of travel to the Arts District, historic West End and exciting Victory Park.
